Personal Lines Prelicensing Course

 

The course, approved by the Department of Insurance under DOI# 159623,  is designed to provide the student with the information necessary to pass the Personal Lines Broker-Agent (PL) California State Examination.  The course consists of 32 hours of classroom instruction which is divided into four eight hour days. 

 

We prepare our students by providing them with a clear understanding of insurance terms and concepts.  Our approach is to keep it simple and interesting.  We engage students by motivating them to participate in thought provoking insurance discussions and by placing them in scenarios similar to those faced by owners of insurance agencies.  Each is encouraged to share there own personal experiences with the insurance industry.  After all, who has not been involved in an accident or has had, or knows someone who has had, a bad experience with an insurance broker or an insurance company?  During the discussions and scenarios, terms, concepts and their application are introduced.
